Raviolo is a small Italian Restaurant in the heart of Balham serving up a modern take on Ravioli. Our brief was to create a 'modern rustic' restaurant with an informal seating arrangement. We designed and crafted wooden benches and tables to evoke a ' straight from Mammas table' vision. This is further intensified by the use of Jerusalem Gold limestone slabs on the floor. A sensuios combination of olive green and burnt ocre was painted on the walls and ceiling. The glazed framed stairscase is beautifully illuminated and the solid sapele stairtreads were handmade in our factory. A now popular roof terrace was created using glazed hardwood timber and clad in western red cedar. The tiolets are small but have a high impact. We designed a minimal look basin cut from soild travertine that is inspired by cliff top infinity pools. Look out for the Dyson handryers!! The openable shopfront is made from beautiful treated Sapele and when pulled back the whole interior is majestically brought to life especially at night.
